JROTC - Tiger Batallion

CW5 Alvaro Flores and CSM Samuel King, Instructors:

Senior Army Instructor CW5 Alvaro Flores and CSM Samuel King oversee the day to day operations of the EHS JROTC program.  Our program provides not only pre-service military training, but it also serves as a torchbearer organization in the area of community and school service.  With this emphasis, the EHS JROTC annually sponsors a Thanksgiving turkey trot benefitting the needy of our community.  They also make frequent visits to area nursing homes providing residents with roses, smiles, and well-wishes.  JROTC continues to support community efforts like Renew Our Rivers and they have recently established a mentoring program in conjunction with Admiral Thomas Moorer Middle School in Eufaula.  Additionally, JROTC students along with their advisors have completely renovated a previously unusable atrium area and have transformed it into a cafe of sorts.  Thanks to their efforts, students can now have lunch in an open air atrium surrounded by sebago palms and roses and covered by a large bistro-like canopy.  Some classes even utilize the area during periods of instruction.  For more information, please contact CW5 Fores or CSM King at 334.687.1124.
