Exciting ECS Safety News!

Eufaula City Schools is using a new visitor management system provided by Raptor Technologies. The system has already been installed at the Early Learning Center and Admiral Moorer Middle School, and installations should be completed in all others schools by the end of this week.

Visitors to schools need to bring their government issued ID (for example state issued driver’s license or ID, military ID or passport card). The ID will be scanned, and a visitor badge with destination will be printed.

The scan screens every visitor against the registered sex offender databases in all fifty states and can check visitors against custom databases set by each school which can contain custody alerts and/or banned visitors.

Eufaula City Schools is happy have this inexpensive, instant screening in place for the safety of students and staff. This system ensures accurate and reliable records are kept for every visitor entering our buildings, every day. Reports will be quicker and easier to create.

The Raptor system is used by many other Alabama school systems and is used by 16,000 campuses across the United States.

As an additional safety measure, facility modifications at EHS and AMMS have streamlined the paths to the front offices. The front offices have been relocated right up front by the main entrances.
